The table shows all birds ringed in the name of Falsterbo Bird Observatory. Particularly during the 1950s and 1960s, many birds were ringed outside the Falsterbo peninsula. Extensive ringing of tern and gull chicks at Foteviken 1958-65, ringing of Barn Owl nestlings at various sites in Skåne 1959-67 and ringing of wintering Mute Swans and Mallards 1962-65 are good examples of such activities. Additionally a few birds were ringed after rehabilitation.
Data from the years before 1980 are not yet digitized and double-checked. This is the reason for the two periods in the table. The "1980-today" column contains both standardised and other kinds of ringing activities. Thus, numbers from the two periods are by no means comparable.
