Inner Foteviken

The inner parts of Foteviken are similar to the rest of the landscape but also include large reedbeds.

There is a small, green-painted dis-used hut on the eastern side of Lilla Hammars näs (see map) and from here you get a good view of the ducks and waders at inner Foteviken. The pastureland and reedy areas east of Videholm are excellent sites for passerines. Many Wheatears and Whinchats rest in May and September and Bluethroat has been spotted here several times.
