Skanörs revlar is a low sand spit which, depending on the sea level, stretches north for several kilometres from Skanör harbour. On the photo to the right, the sea level is rather high.
For a maximum return, a 2-3 km walk is necessary, but it may very well be a worthwhile effort, especially during migration periods, when large numbers of ducks, waders, gulls and terns are resting on the outer parts of the spit.
Recently, currents has cut through the sand spit already before the nudist beach. The gap is seldon possible to cross in only regular wellington boots. This is something to consider when planning a foray, especially towards autumn.
Access to Skanörs revlar is prohibited 1 April-15 July. Dogs must always be kept on a leash 1 March-31 October, in all parts of Flommen's nature reserve.
