Fredshög

The coast at Kämpinge and Fredshög consists of cultivated fields, grazed meadows and a couple of small woods. Due to the mild winter climate, many migrant birds choose to stay here for the winter, since the stubble fields provide a good food supply for species like Sky Lark and Linnet.

The Kämpinge & Fredshög area is also a good site in north-westerly winds during autumn migration.

The pinewood by the road and the reeds are good stopover sites for small birds both in spring and autumn. In the reeds you may also find Bearded Tit, and Fredshög is one of few sites in Scania where Corn Bunting can be seen.

The area as a whole is quite interesting and a walk along the shores is highly recommended. In addition to the spots already mentioned, the area around the boathouses north-west of Fredshög and the small islets to the south-east are also good.
