Gessie ängar

Eskilstorps ängar but more influenced by human activities and less maintained. Large reedbeds extend along the shore. The best-grazed meadows are in the south at Janstorp and in the north at Gessiebäcken (small stream). The ditches and fences are dotted with a few large trees. The area attracts many waders, particularly in spring and early summer. Gessiedammen (the little pond in the north) is perhaps the best spot.

Unlike Vellinge ängar and Eskilstorps ängar, Gessie ängar is divided into many different enclosed pastures, which makes exploring the area on foot difficult. Several ditches are deep and impossible to cross.
